Board of Directors and Managing Director

The Board of Directors carries out its activity in accordance with the corporate governance rules included in the Articles of Association.

The Board of Directors of Aena Sociedad Concesionaria del Aeropuerto Internacional de la Región de Murcia is currently made of up of 6 directors (1 chairman and 5 members) and is assisted by the Secretary of the Board of Directors.

Diego José Peñarrubia Blasco

CHAIRMAN

He holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Murcia. Since 1988, he has formed part of the university's Foundations of Economic Analysis Department, teaching and conducting research in various scopes of microeconomics and macroeconomics.

From 2004 to 2011, he held the positions of Cabinet Director and Director of the Development Area of the Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia. In 2015 and 2016, he worked as the Director of the Local Development and Employment Agency of Cartagena City Council.

Since 13 September 2018, he has been a member and the chairman of the Board of Directors of Sociedad Concesionaria del Aeropuerto Internacional de la Región de Murcia (AENA Group).

Mariano Menor Muñoz

MANAGING DIRECTOR OF SOCIEDAD CONCESIONARIA DEL AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL REGIÓN DE MURCIA

He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and has taken the General Management Programme (PDG) at the IESE Business School.

Since joining Aena in 1991, he has held various management positions, especially in the management of airports, including: Gran Canaria (1992–1997), Málaga (1998–1999), Palma de Mallorca (1999–2003), Alicante (2003–2007) and Valencia (2012–2018).

During his professional period outside Aena (2007–2011) he was in charge of the design and construction of Region of Murcia International Airport. In 2011 and 2012, he collaborated with the ICAO on consultancy projects at Tocumen International Airport in Panama for the operational commissioning of a new infrastructure (North Pier).

In February 2018, he was appointed Director of Operational Transition of Region of Murcia International Airports and was responsible for the operational commissioning of the airport. Since December 2018 he has been the Managing Director of Sociedad Concesionaria del Aeropuerto Internacional Región de Murcia.

Susana García Herradón

BOARD MEMBER

She has degree in Economics and Business Studies from CEU San Pablo University. She participated in the Working Group that prepared the creation of Aena in 1990 and 1991.

Since joining Aena in 1978, she has held various management posts in the economic-financial area, such as Director of Budgets and Administration (1992–1994), Director of Finance and Treasury (1994-1996), Director of the Customer Management Division (1996–2001) of the Corporate Economic and Financial Management Department, Director of the Collections and Payments Division (2001–2004), Director of Economic Administration (2004–2012) and Director of Administration (2012–2013).

From 2013 to 2019, she was the Director of Financial Planning and Management Control, and since 2019 she has been the Director of Economic Planning and Management Control, reporting to the Economic and Financial Director.

Julián Cámara Carazo

BOARD MEMBER

He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), specialising in Airports and Air Transport. He has also taken the General Management Programme (PDG) at the IESE Business School. Before joining AENA, he worked for the engineering consultancy SYNCONSULT, S.L.

Since joining Aena in 1987, he has held a variety of managerial positions such as Operations Manager of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (Mexico) (2000–2003), Head of the Operations Division of Palma de Mallorca Airport (2003–2005) and has managed the airports of Menorca (2005–2008) and Valencia (2008–2013). In 2013, he became the Director of Group III Airports.

Since 2017, he has been the Director of Group II Airports.

Ana Alonso Farto

BOARD MEMBER

She holds a degree in Economics and Business from CEU San Pablo University. She has taken the General Management Programme (PDG) at the IESE Business School and also has a master's degree in Economic and Financial Management from ICADE Business School and a master's degree in Financial and Company Management from Madrid Chamber of Commerce.

She held management positions in the accounting and financial auditing areas of Deloitte and in the financial area of the BNP Paribas Group prior to joining Aena's Administration and Finance Department in 1996 as the head of international projects.

From 1998 to 2000 she was the Manager of Aena International and subsequently in 2001 she was appointed the Administration and Finance Director of Aena International. She was the Director of Aeropuertos Mexicanos del Pacífico (AMP), a concessionaire of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico and the company responsible for Aena International's activity in Colombia, where she was a Director of the following companies: Aerocali, SA, concessionaire of Cali airport, Sociedad Aeroportuaria de la Costa S.A., (SACSA), concessionaire of Cartagena de Indias airport and Aeropuertos del Caribe, SA ( ACSA) concessionaire of Barranquilla airport.

She is currently the head of the Coordination and Planning Division of the Commercial and Property Department.

Mariano Domingo Calvo

BOARD MEMBER

He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). He has taken the General Management Programme (PDG) and the Senior Management Digital Transformation Programme at the IESE Business School, and has a master's degree in Project and Concessions Management and Finance from CSA and IES-CEU.

He joined Aena in 1996 and started work at the Barcelona Airport before holding numerous different management positions at the Lanzarote Airport and, subsequently, in the company's Central Services Network Operations and Systems Department.

From 2007 to 2010, he ran the Airport Security Department and then the Network Operations and Systems Department.

Since 2012, he has been the Director of Infrastructure and Technology.

Almudena Salvadores García

BOARD MEMBER

She holds a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Sha has also taken the General Management Programme (PDG) at the IESE Business School.

Since she joined the company in 1989, she has held various positions in the Legal Department, including Assistant Director of the Asset Management and Legal Department, and Secretary of the Board of Directors.

She served as Assistant Director of the Office of the Chairman from 2014 to 2016 and Director of Aena's Office of the Chairman from 2016 to 2018. She was a Director of Aena Desarrollo Internacional, S.A. Unipersonal, from 2014 to December 2020.

She has been the Secretary of AECFA (Spanish Association for Slot Coordination and Facilitation) since 2015.

Since 2018, she has been the Assistant Director of Aena's Office of the Chairman, Regulation and Public Policies.

Gloria Ávila Alonso

SECRETARY OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

She holds a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. Before joining Aena, she worked as a lawyer for a number of different law firms, including Ferreras Abogados, Asesores Legales y Tributarios, S.L., and Ramón & Cajal Abogados. She also provided legal services for the Land Management Division of AENA with INECO.

She joined Aena in 2009 holding various management positions in both the legal department and in the Commercial Management Department (2012–2015). She ran the Legal Division in Regulatory Contracting and Environment (2015–2018) and the Legal Division of Regulated Business and Contracting (2018–2019).

Since 2019, she has been the head of the Airport and Contracting Legal Division, reporting to the Corporate General Secretary.
